RODENT REMOVAL & CONTROL

Mice & Rats Are Known To Spread Over 35 Different Diseases

Some may find them cute as pets when kept within the confines of a cage or when playing on your favorite cartoon (we all love Disney’s Mickey and Minnie Mouse), however, mice and rats are both unhealthy and dangerous to you, your family and your home.

According to the CDC (Center of Disease and Control), common diseases transmitted from mice and rats include Leptospirosis, Lymphocytic Chorio-meningitis, Hantavirus, Salmonellosis, and Rat Bite Fever. Salmonellosis (or salmonella) is bacterial and transmitted through the eating (and drinking) of food contaminated with mice or rat feces, urine, and saliva. Hantavirus, though considered rare in this area, is a virus carried by the Deer Mouse and White-Footed Mouse and Lymphocytic Chorio-meningitis carried by the house mouse, which is spread through direct contact with and/or from breathing of dust in the air that contains mice/rat urine and feces as well as bites. Rat-Bite Fever can be transmitted from rats when bitten by an infected rat or when eating food that is contaminated by rat droppings. Both mice and rats also have ticks and fleas that can cause additional problems on their own.  The best defense is prevention and keeping them out of your home.

Integrity Pest Solutions offers a Preventative Maintenance Program for year-round control and to keep these unhealthy pests from ever entering your home. However, if you find that these nasty little critters have already made their way in your home, Integrity Pest Solutions offers Rodent Treatment Services.

TIPS: Seal up all possible entry points that mice and rats can potentially squeeze through.

While it is hard to determine the actual cost of damage caused by rodents, it is estimated that they cause approximately hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of damage to homes, businesses, and crops each year. And, if the damage caused and the diseases that mice and rats carry isn’t enough, they are also carriers of fleas, ticks, and mites. Due to this and the immediate health concerns that rodents pose, swift action should always be taken to control and further prevent mice and rat activity within the home or business.

They cause substantial damage to homes by chewing with their continually growing teeth. Once rodents enter your home, they can chew through electrical wires that may cause electrical fires, as well as damage to appliances such as refrigerators, clothes dryers, etc.

They also search out anything that they find appealing to build a nest with such as clothing, books, paper, stuffed animals, etc. In addition to the potential home damage and fire hazard risks these creatures create, they are also carriers of diseases and germs and can even cause respiratory problems. They involuntarily leave urine and feces, as well as shed fur wherever they go including your counters, stove, cabinets, dog food areas, etc. They will invade areas of the home where food is readily available, all the while contaminating the food you eat and posing possible health risks to the house.

Integrity Pest Solutions offers prompt Mice and Rodent control with general exclusion services for elimination of present activity, as well as to help prevent future entrance of mice into the home.

We Can Eliminate Your Rodent Problems

A variety of treatment options are available for rodent infestations and we will always try to accommodate each customer's preference.  For year round mice and rodent control, our Quarterly Preventative Maintenance Programs protects against mice and rodent activity. The Quarterly Preventative Maintenance Program is a guaranteed service for return visits at no additional cost.

A customized and systematic rodent plan will be determined depending on the infestation type, present activity, infestation size, and entry point exclusion and recommendations. Exterior and Interior treatment may be necessary for rodent control and may require additional follow up services for successful treatment. Treatments are available for all mice species commonly found in Delaware including Field Mice, Deer Mice, House Mice, as well as common types of rats including the Roof Rat and Norway Rat. The treatment program will include crawlspace or basement baiting, targeted perimeter baiting, trapping, and exclusion service. Exclusion service includes sealing of identified entry points using wire copper mesh, caulk, fillers, and crawlspace door repairs or replacement.

As part of the rodent service and exclusion, as well as Integrated Pest Management (IPM) methods, we will provide recommendations for sealing and subsequently blocking of all openings and gaps found around the home during the inspection and evaluation. These entry points allow for easy access of rodents and mice into your home. Common recommendations may include weather strip replacement, garage door sweeps, crawlspace door repairs or replacement, and sanitation.

Application of treatments is in accordance with and as required by the manufacturer label, federal, state, and local regulations and is provided in a manner that will yield the most successful treatment results.
